Hopkins Royal Cup 

Royal Greetings! 

The Hopkins High School Debate Team and Booster Club would like to invite you and your team to the 15^th Annual Hopkins Royal Cup to be held on October 17^th and 18^th, 2008.  The tournament is held at Hopkins High School in Minnetonka , MN (just 10 minutes from downtown Minneapolis ). 

The tournament will feature outstanding competition in Policy and Lincoln-Douglas Debate.  In the past, we have had outstanding debaters from across the nation.  We expect no less from the schools choosing to participate this year.   

Here at Hopkins our philosophy of tournament management is as follows: organized, efficient, and fun for participants, coaches, judges, and boosters.  With that in mind, we will be using some of the finest tab room officials to coordinate all events.  We will do whatever it takes to keep this tournament on time and running smoothly.

Being a gracious host is very important to the team, our boosters, and our coaches. You can be assured of great food in the coaches/judges lounge and in the cafeteria for your debaters.  In addition, we will also make housing available for as many debaters as possible.  Please fill out the housing form and send it to us as soon as possible.  A list of local hotels is also included in the registration materials. 

As we celebrate 15 great years, you will find tremendous competition at the Hopkins Royal Cup this year.  I hope you will bring your teams and experience “royal” hospitality.  We look forward to having you and your teams here in Minnetonka.
